Halal Beats

"My early years as a musician were somewhat disappointing and unsuccessful. I left a trumpet in a gas station while purchasing the largest slushee currently available for purchase in Canada at the time, and I left a saxophone on the bus while talking to a girl, all in the same year. Needless to say my parents and band teacher were not very stoked and my overall commitment to music came under some serious scrutiny."

Nevertheless, a few more setbacks, and the odd achievement later, Halal Beats has managed to create something that's much more difficult to forget under a bus seat, or in a gas station, and that's a unique blend of house and techno, with heavy influences from the world of hip hop and breaks.
