Join us for a guided hoop jam where we'll explore a variety of hoop tricks, broken down to suit hoopers at all levels of experience, while deepening our connection to the hoop and to our bodies, culminating in a truly joyful form of dance. Get ready for laughter, smiles…and sweat!
Carla Snow hails from Canmore, Alberta, Canada, and she has been rocking the hoop since 2008. She’s worn many hats on her journey as hooper – teacher, performer, and community organizer. She has performed locally and internationally as a soloist and collaborative performer, but her heart lies in the art of teaching and creating events like the western Canadian hoop conference HoopWest to bring people together and cultivate the continued growth and vibrance of the hoop community.
After five years of building community through classes, workshops, residencies, jams and co-creation of the Edmonton Flow Festival, Carla “retired” to the mountains where she now teaches a weekly hoop class in Canmore, and daydreams about massive rooms full of beautiful dancing hooper-beings.
