Astral Harvest Podcast Episode #18 Kimberley MacGregor

Astral Harvest Podcast Episode #18 Kimberley MacGregor

Kimberley MacGregor is a powerful performer and roots musician who writes music for humans. She unapologetically exposes universal emotions that people tend to conceal.

“I especially want young women to hear my music—and be filled with strength and dignity—instead of the messages that are all too prevalent in the media,” says Kimberley.

A reformed bank manager, Kimberley realized she was doing a successful job of living someone else’s life—and a poor job living her own. In 2013, she launched her original songs into the world and took center stage. She has since released two full-length albums and was awarded Female Artist of the Year at both the 2015 and 2016 Edmonton Music Awards. She lovingly crafts and passionately performs songs that will move your heart, change your mind and stomp your feet. Weaving seamlessly between blues, folk and rock, her common threads are strength, vulnerability and badassery, always sizzling with soul.

Astral Harvest Podcast Episode #17 Sarah Salter Kelly

Astral Harvest Podcast Episode #17 Sarah Salter Kelly

Our ability to feel powerful, confident and capable is linked to how we have resolved the deeply painful experiences in our lives. We create value and meaning through venturing into the depths of our pain, transcending fear and making ourselves available to change. My gifts lay in illuminating this source of conflict within, and transforming its bondage, through understanding, compassion and ceremony.
The greatest healing experience in my life has been the tragic loss of my mother Sheila Salter, who was raped and murdered by a stranger in 1995. My mother believed there are no accidents and that we can heal anything, a perspective that inspires and motivates me daily. It led me to wonder how I can be a part of creating a world where there are no more murderers, what is the root cause of that level of violence and how I can make a difference in creating a solution. My research and experience has led me to believe trauma is the source of violence, abuse and hate, (towards oneself or others) thus inspiring me to create personal empowerment programs with either a trauma or shamanic focus enabling participants to create the changes they need to heal.
My training has led me to work with healers in the Amazon and the high Andes of Peru on eight separate occasions, as well as with elders in Canada and the U.S., pursuing shamanism, energy healing and personal growth techniques. I am a Reiki Master Teacher, Alchemical Healer and Ceremonialist. I have been teaching healing programs and offering one on one spiritual healing since 2007 on my land near Pigeon Lake Alberta, or at other facilities around the province. Restorative Justice techniques and practices have also made their way into my medicine bag in the form of STAR Level 1; (Strategies for trauma awareness and resilience, United States institute for peace and justice building) and Peace Circle facilitation training. Astral Harvest Podcast Episode # 16 Ryan James Summers- Some Sum

Astral Harvest Podcast Episode # 16 Ryan James Summers- Some Sum

Ryan James Summers - "Some-Sum", is an Edmonton born spoken-word poet and freestyle artist. He started writing at the age of sixteen and began to freestyle whilst living on the streets of Edmonton at age seventeen. Throughout his journey he became submersed in hip-hop culture which became the foundational component of his ability to freestyle. He realized that his passion for spoken-word as an art form could be used to express himself. This realization stemmed from an influential peer's perception of his writing style, delivery on the mic and engagement with listeners.

Inspired by various artists including Saul Williams, Robert Nesta Marley and Michael David Larsen "Eyedea", he found himself with a calling to combine both spoken-word and hip hop into its own unique and collective art form. His abilities as a wordsmith and eclectic taste in musical culture led him to experiment by combining this art form with diverse instrumentals. Some-Sum has the desire to leave an imprint of his art and authentic self on the world and in doing so empower others to discover their purpose and truest self.

Astral Harvest Podcast Episode #2 Shanon Harwood

Astral Harvest Podcast Episode #2 Shanon Harwood

thearchetypeproject.com

www.kimmapii.com

Shanon became interested in tarot and astrology more than 40 years ago. In 1987, Marv and Shanon Harwood set up the Kimmapii School of Shamanism to teach Shamanic and spiritual practices learned by The Harwoods over many years of study with a variety of notable mentors and teachers, combined with personal experience. Shanon's most notable mentor by far was Josephine Crowshoe, spiritual elder of the Piikani Nation, who named her “Inniskimaaki,” or Buffalo Rock Woman. Shanon also spent 10 years earning her certification with The Four Winds Society to become a graduate of courses in Advanced Soul Retrieval, Working with the Sacred and Healing the Light Body. Shanon is a gifted shaman and a public speaker on Archetypes, tarot, astrology and the works of Edgar Cayce.

In 2007, Shanon Harwood began writing a manuscript entitled 'It Depends on Who’s Looking,' which examines how worldwide religions, mythologies and practices are all speaking about the same universal concepts and energies - just with a different label.  More importantly however, the manuscript delves into the profound manner in which these energies impact and influence our lives in both the short and long term. From this manuscript, the workshop series It Depends on Who’s Looking, The Archetype Project was created in 2010 and offered by The Kimmapii School of Shamanism as a series of four – three day workshops spaced out over two years. Workshop attendees soon began to report positive results and desired shifts in their lives. Subsequent to completing the workshop, attendees agreed that the work was profound and life altering. Arising from the success of the workshop series, Shanon began the creation of an interactive Multimedia Book with the sole intention of making work with the Archetypes available to anyone seeking to help or change areas of their lives where ‘things just aren’t working’.
